    (True Urushi - Red pens will have a ring of black near the end of the cap, and bottom of pen and the housing of the nib area, as it is delicately handcrafted by the artisans of Wajima City's Taya Shikkiten, and you can see that it is present even in their product photos.)

    (Any white seen on the black part is just reflections from the light!) :)
